DriversEdPro Platform
SOL Driving School uses DriversEdPro — a third-party software platform — to manage courses and student data. DriversEdPro handles its own data collection separately, governed by its own privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
SOL Driving School collects personal information in order to enroll students, schedule lessons, and communicate with families. The types of information we collect include:
- Contact information — name, phone number, and email address of the student and, where applicable, their parent or guardian.
- Enrollment details — date of birth, permit number, program selected, and scheduling preferences.
- Payment information — we collect only what is necessary to process fees. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Communication records — messages you send to us via our contact form, phone, or email.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Enroll you in programs and schedule lessons.
- Communicate with you about your enrollment, lessons, and any updates.
- Process payments.
- Comply with Washington State licensing requirements for driving schools.
- Improve our programs and respond to your questions or concerns.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes beyond communicating with you about SOL Driving School programs directly.
4. Data Retention
We retain student records for the period required by Washington State regulations for licensed driving schools and as necessary to resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.
If you would like your information removed from our records and there is no legal obligation preventing deletion, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you or your child. You may also request corrections to any inaccurate information.
To make any such request, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Children's Privacy
SOL Driving School serves students as young as 15 years old. When enrolling a student under 18, we require a parent or legal guardian to complete the enrollment process and provide consent.
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services to minor students and do not knowingly collect information from children for any purpose beyond delivering driver education.
7. DriversEdPro Platform
SOL Driving School uses DriversEdPro as its course management platform. DriversEdPro is an independent software company and operates its own data collection and privacy practices separate from SOL Driving School.
When you use DriversEdPro — including creating an account, completing assignments, or scheduling driving sessions through the platform — that activity is subject to DriversEdPro's own policies. We encourage you to read them:
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
